My Blogging ideas. - 04-12-2008

Hii,
I started a blog on blogger.com 20 days before and now I am receiving an average 30-35 unique visitors every day and the figure is going high, now i am planning to move to word press just because most of the big blogs are on word press, can anyone give me more better reasons to move from blogger to wordpress? is it worth? can the whole content from blogger can be moved to wordpress?
Please suggest me some better ideas.

Advantages of Wordpress (self-hosted) over blogger :

1. You get to customise your blog any way you want. No restrictions.
2. Integration with other sections of your site (if any) is possible.
3. Wide range of pre-made themes.
4. You can upgrade / downgrade the software anytime, & install any plugin of your choice.

Disadvantage :

1. You need to find a webhost by yourself.

PS: I don't know if it's possible to automatically move content from blogger to WP blog.

We can do this anytime. Wordpress has import function to import from many platforms.

Yes, I love wordpress. The only reason I ever used blogger was because I was practically forced by my own restrictions. I joined blogger, posted a few times, and had people who had added it to their favorites. It makes it kind of hard to then back out and start anew. I use Wp now.

I like wordpress better than blogger. If the choice is between your own hosted blog and one on blogger, of course hosting your own blog is always better.

Between free wordpress hosting and free blogger hosting, I would still go with the wordpress. I like the wordpress interface better and the plug-ins too.
