Let's help Mozilla to make this new record - the most software downloads in 24 hours!

All you have to do is download Firefox 3 when it goes live on Download Day — some time in June.
Mozilla will let us know when Firefox 3 goes out the door, kicking off their 24-hour attempt.

DDOS wouldn't be the right word for it.
We can call it a server overload... maybe.

Downloads peaking at 14000 downloads per minute.
Amazing.

Downloaded and installed Firefox 3 today.
And yes, it eats up somewhat less memory than Firefox 2.

No, I think that calling it a friendly and/or unintentional ddos is fairly accurate.
