how to make smf mods?

can anyone help me making a mod which can be applied through
the package section in admin panel.
i am working of referral mod for smf.
please help.

Not only PHP and MySQL,

You also need to know (X)HTML, CSS (if you are using that), XML
and moreover,

you need to know where you can find a particular source code, what variables are used, etc. in SMF.

Post here the code which you have made till now
(not the package, i want the code, used to make your referral system).

Then we shall help you to make a package for it.

Btw,
Does your mod do any database changes (hopefully yes) ?

hey i dont know much about the smf referral mod but i saw one "invite friend" mod where u can invite your friends to that smf forums.i dont know it gives points for that or not.the mod was installed in this forums:www.idj.in

do you mean by affiliates MOD? then i can help you for that. there are two MOD's for referrel link.

1) Affiliates

2) Invite

You can track all members invitations through this both MOD, i also use SMF, hehehe if you want i will tell armaan to help you, all MOD's are modified by him only in his site, i havent started making my site yet.
