| Hide Geocities.com banner -
05-27-2007
This Script HIDES Geocities banners from view... making your page look as if it never had any geocities banners. In order for this script to work you need to subscribe to GEOGUIDE on geocities But it doesn't work with older browsers! It doesn't kill the banners but it HIDES them!!!! Just sign-up for GeoGuide service.... and type this code in your <Head> <style type="text/css"> <!-- .none { position: absolute ; visibility: hidden ; clip: rect( ) } --> </style> Insert into <BODY> <span align="center" class="none"> <!--#GeoGuide--> </span>

Thanks for the code. I don't use Geocities, but I used to before I moved up to better free/paid hosts. The only thing that's left is pop-ups, and you can stop those with a good pop-up blocker. My Firefox extension blocks everything, so I sometimes forget about ads. Those flash "windows" do bug my experience, and they can be found on some Geocities sites.

If only I had known about this sooner. Oh well. I have found better free hosts anyway. Infact, I have even written an article on it in my blog. ![]()
