Guide to online DJing with winamp

To get winamp and/or nulsoft shoutcast please go here: http://www.shoutcast.com/download/broadcast.phtml

First Open your winamp.


Right click on the little winamp sign on the bottom right and you will get a list like shown above. You then go down to options and then go to preferences and it will open a new window show in the next picute.


When you get this window open just double click on the top one which will then open your shoutcast encoders box.


This is where you put the radio info
Port of radio server, IP os server and the radio password.



This is where you place your DJ name and where you put the link to where you are djing so it will be Phantom-Designs.net


This is where you pick a bite rate. This depends on what server you are contecting to. The one that PD Live will have goes up to 96! If you go over it will break and it will take up to 6 weeks to fix! So be careful.


This is where you push the button to talk over the radio. It fades the music so you can then talk over that too!

After you have set it all up go back to the radio info part and hit contect to start your show off! Don't forget to play music just use the main part of winamp and it shoutcast through!

Tips:
Make sure your mic is off if you want to sing along or talk to someone in you house.
Be calm and relax.
Don't rush.
Keep an eye on the shoutcast status to make sure it is going fine!
