Dropped domain, is it more valuable? - 02-16-2008

I heard that the history a dropped domain name have with Google is usually delete once the domain is re-registered, though backlinks and PR may still be intact, can anyone confirm if this is true?

Yes. IMO Google clears everything : PR, backlink records, etc. upon expiration of domain.

GeekPoint.net was also a dropped domain,
when I regged. it in mid-2007, I got nothing along with it. [no PR, no existing backlink records]
