A CSS-Based (image-less) Navbar - 12-03-2007

I have prepared a completely CSS-Based navbar menu for GeekPoint.

Its completely table-less and image-less. (So, its good from the SEO point of view too)

Two color variants have been made.
But i'm now stuck on which color to use as default.

Have a look at the samples below :
(Click the images for enlarged views)

Blue-colored variant :

Cream-colored variant :

navbar_cream.png

The blue one blends well with the forum's color scheme, but it looks faded out, sort-of.
And, though the cream one stands apart from the rest of the site, it looks elegant.

Which one do you like ?

Thanx,
Shadab.

I think , that first one look's good.
But why you want to change the navigation bar?

The current navigation menu has some flaws.
Like :

It uses images. [im trying to cut down on the images used overall]
It uses blank anchor links. [not really good for SEO]
Search-Engines can't read what's written in images. [same as the point above]

The 2nd one looks a bit more strong but not matching the theme as the 1st one. However as the nav bar 2nd one is better. But how about a third one?

I am thinking on this

Thanks everybody for the input.
The Blue-colored variant of the navigation menu bar has been implemented.

I'm now working to provide the users with options to choose between the Blue-colored and Cream-colored navbars, as well as choosing the alignment (left/center) of the navbar.

Enjoy !
