Infraction are a type of warning that tell you that you have broke a rule or did something that you should not do.

You get infraction because you used your referral link for 000webhost. And this is not allowed here.
You should always read the rules of any forum before advertising anything.

Yes. Infractions are simply warnings / notifications that a user has done something against the Forum rules.

Users can view their infractions in the userCP and in their respective user profile.
Infractions are only visible to the user to which it's given and the Forum staff. nobody else.

I think 3 infraction will ban you.
Reputation point are like reputation at forum.

A minimum of 3 infractions are required to suspend a user, under normal circumstances.
vB automatically suspends the user for 1 month, then.

Rep. Points are just a fun thing. Users can give a positive rep to a user if they like his post.
It's just a measure of a popularity / reputation of a user in a Forum.

Anyway, yes infractions work just like warnings but there are different kind of infractions and often infractions are more advanced than warnings, there are expiration date and message and such extra things But warnings actually sounds a bit likely to me than infractions, i don't know why Jelsoft wanted to be so different and call them infractions because as we can see a lot of users seem to not understand the meaning of it..
