i think phpbb is a rubbish script they are still following the designs of 1999
even themes are crap i didn't like even 1 phpbb forum
no ajaxied content

I like smf as free forum script.

Once I had a forum and my friend admins almost converted it into ipb by customization.
Well, can't forget those days.

I would go with SMF or Phpbb.

My favorite free forum script not made my me is MyBB, because of the free atmosphere. Other scripts like MiniBB were alright, but not enough

I like phpBB 2 and 3 but i'm using 2 because last year phpbb3 wasn't out yet.. I don't like any other free forums soft than phpBB..
