Planning importance in business? - 05-19-2008

Hi guys,

Well, a Well planned and long-sighted effort can fetch better results than an unplanned one. When an online business/ general business is started, I think Planning, being the first stage, is very important. It sets up a foundation.

What do you guys say?

I think planning is important, but I find it hard to do. I always want to just jump in and start going.

It's undoubtful that planning is important. But sometimes we said the changing is more faster than planing, so how to adjust your plan when practise your planing is also very important.

Yes, you should have an idea about your products/services and business in general. That's really important.

Furthermore you may write down some kind of milestones (going online, revenue = costs, date to make profit, ...). In this way, you can check back later whether or not you have managed reaching your goals or need to work harder on them. This is especially important if you are on a tight budget and require to turn your business into a profitable one as soon as possible.

long term goals are important than short term goals. Planned business may not workout always.

Im not usually one for plans, I do things on more of a whim basis but as far as business goes, even if you arent investing any money, a business plan is ALWAYS the way to go. Im not just talking about price lists and website set up plans I mean the whole 9 yards. I did one with out a plan and one with a plan just as an experiment and the one WITH a business plan was much more successful!

Yes, planning is much more important than most people give credit for, especially in the long run.

If you want to play the long innings than planning is only one mantra who will give you back up. So before going for anything just planned in page and paper and always try to see it whether you are going as per plan or not.

Planning is always important with any business (On-line/Off-line); there are so many things that need to be planned, and even then, sometimes things are forgotten and only re-surface when they begin to cause issues.

Always plan your business or projects before you even start them.
