Make Windows XP Boot Faster than ever.
(Tested and working with Windows XP Professional)

STEP 1: Select Start > Run then type 'regedit'

STEP 2: Locate the following registry...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ SessionManager \ MemoryManagement \ PrefetchParameters

STEP 3: Make sure you make a backup of the key before editing.

HOW? Highlight the key you need to backup, Select File > Export > Name the file(s) accordingly and click 'Save As'

STEP 4: On the EnablePrefetcher value, change the setting from 3 to 5 (decimal).

STEP 5: Close the registry editor.

STEP 6: Restart your computer.
