How do travelers make hotel reservations? In particular, travelers from overseas.

This is what I'm trying to figure out. I need to promote a hotel; obviously, I need to deliver a result. There are a couple of different promotion methods, PPC, SEO and affiliate program (kind of). I get the impression that marketing using a type of affiliate program scheme is one of the most effective methods to promote. More specifically, using travel website like

Travelocity
Expedia
Orbitz
Hotels.com

seems like very effective. And thus, my question, "How do travelers make hotel reservations? In particular, travelers from overseas." If, say, 60% of travelers make hotel reservations using these websites, then the hotel that I am going to promote must get their hotel listed in these websites. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Well yes your Targeted Hotel should be visible not only on the Travel Websites, but also on the Fliers, Brochures and all stuff intended to Travellers. Internet Marketing is only favourable in this case when you have enough Ground coverage First like Airports etc.

There are plenty of travel websites on directories online. Also lots of ads are being display on some place like hotels, etc...

Online check is always used because of it being helpful to look at.
