We may have to submit to search engines to get noticed by them faster;
but this is not the case usually with Google.

Even a single link to our new site, from a site that has already been indexed or is being indexed,
will bring the Google bot to our site.

Google is really fast in indexing sites, these days.

I found that I could submit my site to Yahoo! and it got on there a few minutes later... I submitted it to google, on the other hand, almost a week ago, and still nothing.
