Hello there,

I am interested in SEOing my website/forum. It's about Bruce Willis the actor. I want to get it high in google on these sorts of things:

Bruce Willis Forums
Bruce Willis
Bruce Willis Site
Die Hard 4
Die Hard Series
Die Hard

Have any tips on getting my site higher on google, even if it is only a few ranks i can keep working on it. Thanks. :umpf:

As you can see, ranking of Bruce Willis and its associated keywords would be easy, rather than Die Hard and its associated phrases. And also because your site's primary topic is Bruce Willis.

There are some things that you need to keep in mind,
such as :

Meta Tags of your pages :

- The 'Keywords' meta tag of your pages
- The 'Description' meta tag of your pages

Title Tag

- One of the most important parts when it comes to SEO.
Make sure you include your targeted keyphrase here at least once.

And don't overdo your keywords and title tags.
Search engines would otherwise flag it as keyword stuffing, and penalize you for it.

Hyperlinks from other sites

- The anchor text is also important. Get backlinks from good quality high PR and similar niche sites,
and select the anchor text carefully. Example :

I suggest using vBulletin.
You can customise it to a very large extent, on the SEO aspect.

And also there are a couple of good mods available for SEO (for vB) too.
Free : Zoints SEO, and Paid : vBSEO (that we are using here in GeekPoint too)

After you understand its controls, settings and functioning;
then its all easy to customize.
