There are some general concepts. each site will have a regular updated content either daily / weekly / or every 15 days

must have a blog / forum / site map ETC

Keyword is to be optimized / but not dump key words . Okay - it take a long time to discuss SEO . So i became a domainer he! he!

Sitemap : yes. It's good to have a sitemap. be it for search engines (.xml format) or humans (a separate page listing all the major sections of your site)

Blog : Good idea. If you have the time and dedication, then its a good idea to have a blog on your site and regularly update it to provide latest news and announcements to the users.

Forum : Create a forum only if you 'really' want to. Forums are sometimes really hard to populate and get running. It all depends on what type of niche you have chosen.

Hey,
I suggest you to have a sitemap as it is good for the Search Engines crawlers.
As per as your blog,if you have the time and are really willing to write something.
For the forums,first build your blog,get some users and then start a forum and announce it.Dont start a forum just because you want to.It wont be doing any better to you.
