I think you can also use podcasting? Or add podcast in your sites then submit its URL to podcast directories?

Ya.. I agree that all are the perfect way to get one way links, but quality backlinks is very much important.

Podcasts are usually audio content, so you don't get all this rich textual content that the search engine spiders can snarf up. You also don't get the rich inter-linking that happens with blogs because you can't embed clickable URLs throughout your MP3 files.

I am not sure enough that you can generate good and relevant backlinks from Podcasts but surely it can be a good means for generating traffic to your site.

After all SEO isn't about just following a set list of formulae. It is about creatively thinking outside the box and differentiating yourself in ways that make your site eminently more linkworthy than your competitors.

Exactly, get creative and deviate from the standard list mostly everyone is emphasizing. Look into what most people are doing these days...many people are on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Skype...these can all be used to your benefit. (creatively market your site of course; you wouldn't want to be too direct and boring about it)

Video Marketing

post in many forum and add you signature, because there is lot of traffic on it, and has big PR, that help you have more backlinks.
