Smile Paint.NET "A free Photoshop"

There's this program called Paint.NET. It is similar to Photoshop ONLY it's FREE. I use is all the time, I used it to make my website logo. It was #16 on the top 100 products of 2007 (PC World). The Main page is Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing. Or if you want to go directly to the download page click here Paint.NET - Download it has the system requirements and the download links (and also the link to .NET framework because you need that to run Paint.NET).

You can install effects and it's open source to anyone!! In their forum Paint.NET • Index page you can sign up and look at some awesome tutorials and download some effects. I would highly recommend everyone to at least try it, then maybe if Shadab likes it, then he could create a new forum spot for it and we can hold competitions.

And everyone with an average computer and access to the internet can participate. So that way unlike photoshop CS3 you have to pay and not all of us can afford, but we can all afford Paint.NET because it's free. So I think a new spot for Paint.NET would be an excellent addition for Geek Point. It will bring the creative part out of us. I will go up to my laptop and download some examples and post links here. I will answer anyones question about Paint.NET. Or ill post some tutorials if enough people request.

Shadab when you see this can you reply and tell me whether you will create a new forum spot for Paint.NET.
Remember if you have any questions post them.

Post if you downloaded
Thanks

Yeah.. ! I have this small but very powerful utility installed on my computer.

I really like the interface.
As simple as that of MS Paint. Yet the features are comparable to Photoshop.

IMO, thats a cool idea.
I really love this application and would surely like to take part in its discussions as more as possible.

I'll get the section prepared by tomorrow morning. [its night here].
(Most probably as a sub-forum under this section : Graphics Designing)

Thanx,
Shadab.

this forum isnt to small! Adding new great forum slots is an excellent way to bring in new people. All forums start little and grow. You cant just instantly have a huge forum with 7000 members, it takes time. Be patient.

thanks

The character limit is quite high at 300 characters both : with and without bbcode.
The limit is on images. IMG bbcode is not allowed. Though smilies (max. 5) are allowed.

Thanx,
Shadab.
