Mass directory Additions

Are mass directory additions good or bad? I have heard mixed reviews. Some people are telling me that it's a good way to get red flagged by google, having so many links added at once, yet others say it's a great way to get listed for a particular keyword.

As far as I can tell, it seems that for a new site starting out it seems to be a bad thing, to go from zero back links to 10,000 it would make google suspicious and possibly red flag your site. However, is it as detrimental for a more established site to add large amounts of links at once?

Mass backlink building can effect u badly.So if ur submitting to directories then make it stretched .
So NO problem

When your mass submitting only do a certain amount per week and change your anchor text so you will not be spamming.
