Help with something... - 02-18-2008

The images no longer show on my .com.
The images go like this:

images/picture.gif

The folder for my .com is:
public_html/watward.com

So, I put it in the .com.
public_html/watward.com/images
All the other files are already in watward.com, and are supposed to go to images to get the pictures.
However, no images show. What am I doing wrong?

Viewing your images manually gives me a 403 Forbidden error.

CHMOD the images/ folder for your domain (watward.com) to 0755
and the contents inside it to 0644

Then try again.

If you are using cPanel,

Go to the file manager thru cPanel, and from there you can navigate
and change 'permissions' (ie, CHMOD) of files / folders.

Ok, I did a CHMOD with SmartFTP. Still, it's not working. I tried 755 and 777.

Now the directory index at watward.com/images/ is visible.
Try uploading your files again.

And if it still doesn't work, CHMOD individual files to 755 or 777 too.

Consider Wat for hire!.
Notice something here. The image on the left works fine. The image on the right doesn't. In this directory, everything works fine.
In a subfolder of this, it doesn't. But I will try once again.

Also, you need to put your images in /public_html/watward.com/images folder,
instead of /public_html/images

I did that, and the images still don't show properly. My host provider did something and said that I only need to put the images in public_html/images now instead of watward.com/images, and he said everything should work. But it doesn't. It does work on the subdomain, watward.watward07.h.web-db.biz, but not on the domain. For some reason, they still don't want to show any pictures...
